Day 365

I felt so sad throughout the day thinking that this would be the end of my project. I've been thinking of what to shoot for the last couple of weeks and thought it would be fitting if I shot in the same area I shot my very first image for this project. It's a small plot of land in the middle of a street, a block from my house. 

There's so much that I've learnt in this past year. So much has happened to me and I had this gift of being able to document a portion of each day. I've gained a lot of knowledge in the way that light works and the way it can be manipulated.

This project was very difficult to commit to day in and day out but I honestly can't picture my days without taking a photograph now. I really have to thank all of my friends and family for pushing me through the days that I wanted to quit. It feels so good to say that I managed to finish! I don't know if I'll ever make another project like this again but I am excited for this next year to see what I'll manage to produce! 

Day 359-364

These last few days have been crazy! I went to Jersey to visit my friend for her birthday in New Jersey and spent the last few days with her and her friends and family. We went shooting a lot and it was so much fun! I finished my internship at Harper's Bazaar this week as well. Tomorrow's the last day!! :D 

Days 357-358

I'm down to my last week after today! Have a bit of a busy but fun week ahead of me. Excited to shoot! 

Day 356

Today was interesting. I decided to use one of our tablecloths over the window to create these shadows. It was fun working with it and figuring out how to make it looks best. I think the shapes it created are really interesting.  

Day 355

Today I did a few different self-portraits but I thought this looked very different aesthetically than my usual self-portraits so I went with it :) 355 down 10 to go! 

Day 351-354

The last few days have been pretty busy for me. I'm about to finish up with my internship. Next week is my last week! I went fishing in Montauk a couple of days ago where I took that picture of the sunset. Was a lot of fun! 

Day 350

So I started taking contemporary dance lessons a few months ago. I've been itching to start for a few years but hadn't really had an opportunity to do so the way I wanted until recently. I've been really loving it! I'm practicing as much as I can and stretching as often as possible. While I was stretching today, I noticed this pool of light in my mother's studio so I thought why not take a picture? I was stretching out and taking the pictures at the same time. This ended up being a happy accident. As I was lowering my leg I pressed the shutter release by mistake and took this. I kept taking more where I was pointing my toes but I ended up going with this because of how relaxed it looks.
